The Technology Of Indexing

By Bruno Auger On November 30, 2008 Posted under search engine optimization

One of the main ways in order to have a specific and specialize — as well as indie and effective — search engine optimization process is through the use and understanding of website owners of indexing.  Indexing is the process of search engines using specific algorithmic crawlers to find changes for their search results.  These algorithms are designed in order to link from one another and it is an automated process made by coded information and algorithms that search the Internet automatically to retrieve website information and their addresses for a turn to those who search them.

In the search engine optimization process, indexing is held in high regard because it allows for just how high the search results and history would be for search engines for a specific website.  In simple terms, the way indexing works is through making a website the most relevant by finding just how many people have referred and back linked to that specific site. In order to understand this, just think of an academic journal.  An academic journal which is not so good may be cited once or twice among the academic institution with other journals relevant to the topic.

However, an extremely useful academic journal which has complete data, explanation, and even understanding of the study is cited by many many other authors in many other different journals.  Therefore, when ranking popularity, Pat academic journal which has been cited by many other future authors and their journal studies would reflect the importance, information content, and popularity of that study.  That is basically the same way that indexing works.  The back linking of websites according to their importance, quantity, and popularity to reflect the highest search result importance.

If one types in Hewlett-Packard into a search engine, since a majority of the websites in the world which discuss about Hewlett-Packard products or services link their own pages to the original website that Hewlett-Packard, then the main website would be the one which would be reflected as the main and top search result in the search engine.
In the process of search engine optimization, therefore, it involves not only copy editing specific content of websites to be the most important, but also being able to make sure that other websites link back to that website.  An essential detail of this also is that when major websites — websites which are deemed to be important — link back to you, then you are considered as an important source.

If you are a blogger which discusses about Microsoft products, and one of the links within the Microsoft main webpage links back to you, you are pushed further up the search engine optimization latter.  This has produced a whole new different of business and economics for search engine optimization and because of the continuous profitability of doing business online and in the Internet today, search engine optimization and the indexing process involved in such an optimization scheme that also gained extreme popularity among users, computer enthusiasts, business marketers, and so forth.

I have heard that you should not submit your site to Google for indexing because this makes it take a lot longer. Are you hip to this?
