Maintain a Blog and Earn Money

By Bruno Auger On September 3, 2008 Posted under Monetizing your Blog

Are you an internet user addicted to blogging?  You enjoy how you showcase your writing skills through your blog and a lot visit your page, strangers and friends alike, just to tell you that you are such a blogging pro.  You love the activity of sharing your opinion or your daily experiences rather creatively and interestingly.  And wait…so you need money?

Don’t think that that last question before this paragraph is out of place?  You better have to think again because, yes, maintaining blogs can earn you big bucks enough to maintain a certain lifestyle that you had probably left behind for a while because of financial constraints, or enough for you to survive in a day while you are pursuing your studies.  All you need is an internet connection, which is probably not your problem since you have been an internet user; that talent of yours in writing; and a person or establishment that will need your service.

So first, you need to have an “employer”.  This is not a problem because all you need to do is browse for potential people or business through search engines.  Really, you would not last the internet world if you do not know how to use search engines such as Google or Yahoo.  Research well those prospects that will need your outstanding skill in blogging, some of them you might already be your contact or an online friend. Don’t settle with the one you find first.  See the terms and conditions each employer has and can be the rate of every article that you make for them.  This is to make sure that this money-making activity that you are dealing with will be indeed beneficial to you without really having to disturb your work or class schedules.

As a starter, you may need time to adjust to the routine of blogging as a hobby to blogging as a business undertaking.  Though you can actually do freelance writing from one site to another, you may choose do things at a time and consider trying out the more exciting world of freelance later when you are already familiar of how things work.

Get things started once you have found the right employer for you.  Now don’t screw up especially with your first assignments because remember, you are still establishing a good impression from your boss.  Remember that businessmen don’t want to waste time with irresponsible punks.  Besides, you were the one looking for this job.  So, even if you don’t really know your boss personally, it does not mean you have to be unethical.

When you are already a regular blogger earning regular extra income, don’t be stagnant with the same writing style. Continue on reading articles that will give you tips to maintain good writing through new angles or “attacks” in common topics.  Once you show that you are a flexible writer bringing quality works, more readers would be interested of your blog.  With that you can become the most in demand blogger among site developers, companies, and businessmen.  Sounds like more figures for your bank account!

Nice post - this will help newbies to making money online. :) Keep it up!

By the way, your blog doesn’t show a design on FF3… it’s just a white page with Times New Roman as the font for all the text.
