4 Tips For Boosting Your Affiliate Commissions

An affiliate marketing makes his or her living from the commissions that they earn.  Obviously, if you can boost these commissions then it is going to help you to earn more money. 

However, the big question is, just how do you boost these commissions and make that extra money?  These four tips are going to help you to maximize your revenue and increase your commissions.

Tip 1 : Build A List

This is probably the biggest tip for boosting your affiliate commissions.  Instead of just sending traffic to someone else’s page and letting them "get away" from you, send them to a squeeze page and capture their email address.  Offer them a bribe in the form of a report, product or something similar for signing up and then market to them.  By building a list you are building a valuable asset which will help you to increase your income significantly without increasing your work.

Tip 2 : Product Reviews

Let’s face it, we all love product reviews.  It gives you the chance to get to know what it is like to own the product before you actually buy it and see if it "fits".  Writing good product reviews is a great way to increase your commissions because people who are on the edge of buying will often look for a product review to give them that final push to buy.

Tip 3 : Target Buyers Not Browsers

Often marketers will target anyone who is interested in the product rather than focusing their efforts solely on the people who are window shopping.  Someone who is searching for digital cameras, for example, is in the early phases of the buying process and in the majority of cases just looking for information rather than looking to buy.  Target someone who is searching for a specific model of camera and you are much more likely to be targeting someone who is ready to make a purchase and give YOU a commission.

Tip 4 : Give Things Away

Giving away reports and videos that provide valuable information is an excellent way for you to make money, believe it or not.  You may be questioning how giving something away can earn you money, but if that product is full of YOUR affiliate links, you can potentially earn every time someone clicks on one of your links.  This is a great way of getting people to sign up for your list (you give them the report in return for their email address) and then you market to them and earn from any links they click in the report.  If you are really smart you give them the rights to share the book with others so that you can benefit from viral marketing!
